KNF (N) denies hand in abduction of workers

Kuki National Front (Nehlun) on Tuesday categorically denied its involvement in the abduction of three workers of ABCI Infrastructures Private Limited who were reportedly kidnapped on January 23 .
The outfit said it had nothing to do with abduction.
Speaking to media person somewhere in Sadar Hills, KNF (N) Information Secretary Gogou Vaiphei said since the outfit has been blamed, it had constituted a committee to investigate the matter and found out that no KNF (N) cadres were involved in the case.
"We also came to know that the three workers of ABCI identified as excavator driver Raju Robidas of Lalpani, Jirighat, Assam; excavator operator Vinod Kumar of Madhupur village, Bihar and Shiva Narayan of Bihar were engaged in the road construction work from Chandrakhong to Kasom Khullen only after the investigation", said Gogou Vaiphei .
He further termed it "unfortunate" the abduction of the three and the halting of construction work on Development Bank (ADB) funded road from Thoubal to Kasom Khullen in Ukhrul District.
While denying its involvement, KNF (N) also warned Individuals or group using the outfit name only to defame the organization.
He said those involved the abduction and kidnapping of the three workers would be given a befitting punishment if the outfit happens to net them.
