Information office opened

Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS) has opened a regional information office at Imphal to facilitate admission for Manipuri students in the institute, said TIPS Admission Co-ordinator Dr Sabyasachi Chowdhury.
While speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club, Dr Sabyasachi Chowdhury said that TIPS was established in 1999 as a joint venture project of Government of Tripura and Tripura Central University.
Saying that TIPS has produced many highly talented paramedical professionals, he claimed that TIPS is only the institute in the whole NE region which provides training and professional experience in the field of paramedical sciences.
He added that the institute has tied up with four Government hospitals for this purpose.
Dr Sabyasachi Chowdhury added that TIPS also provides placements for its students in various reputed hospitals across the country.
As the institute is run by Tripura Government, fees are less when compared to private institutes and there are also seat reservations for NE States, he added.
He said that opening of a regional information office at Yaiskul Police Lane would help the students of the State in getting admission in the institute.
