State logs 2 new cases with 0.4 pc TPR

Imphal, March 28 2022:
Government bulletins on Monday reported two new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 482 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 0.41 per cent positivity rate against 0.57 per cent reported on Sunday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, 5 patients were discharged from home isolation (3) and CCCs (2) .
Number of active cases came down to 37 out of which 16 (43.24 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 297 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 179 in RIMS.
Out of the 16 districts, only one reported fresh Covid cases on Monday.
So far, the state has recorded 11,298 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 303 new positive cases and 8 fatalities.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 41 and 0 respectively.
According to official reports, the two fresh cases (female) are from among the general population and they are from Bishnupur district.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,086 (general population - 1,32,072 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,929 (general population - 1,29,923 and CAPF personnel -5,006) and number of active cases is 37 (general population - 36 and CAPF personnel - 1) .
The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent.
A total of 281 D-type and 97 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours while 100 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,34,770, including 11,78,490 who had received second doses and 65,270 recipients of precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,705), Imphal East (30,419), Thoubal (10,148), Churachandpur (11,049), Kangpokpi (3128), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9826) Senapati (2491) Ukhrul (3269) Kakching (6888), Chandel (2716), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1199), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,179 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,653 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,15,656 tests per million population against the national average of 5,60,996 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 482 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 0.41 per cent while the cumulative rate stands at 8.57 per cent.
