All inmates of Mount Olive School Quarantine Centre, Tualnuam, Churachandpur were discharged today with the department that took care of them giving a tree sapling to each of them, reports our correspondent.
36 Bengaluru returnees including an infant have been quarantined at the school since May 27 with the District Veterinary Office, Churachandpur managing the centre.
On June 1 their samples were collected for COVID-19 tests, results for which were declared yesterday.
With all inmates testing negative they were discharged today.
The Veterinary Department led by their Joint Director, Dr L Arun Kumar Singh bade them a rather unique farewell as they were given a tree sapling each to be planted at their home and were advised to strictly quarantine themselves for another 14 days.
