Adhoc working committee formed

After the United Naga Council (UNC) approved the affiliation of four tribes - Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Inpui - in its November 10 'Council Assembly', the said four tribes formed an adhoc working committee to serve as a common platform for all the four tribes, conveyed a reliable source of the committee, after conducting a meeting on November 17 at Manipuir Press Club, Majorkhul.
According to the source, Kenan Kamei, the president of Rongmei Naga Council was appointed as the convener of the Four Tribes Adhoc Working Committee whereas president of Zeme Naga Council, Aku Newme was appointed as the secretary.
The president of Liangmai Naga Council, Machundoubou and president of Inpui Naga Council, Kashahung Bariam were appointed as Finance secretary and Information secretary respectively.
LP Gonmei, K Dalmei, NH Adou and Akhuan Khumba were also appointed as advisors for the functioning of the adhoc committee.
The UNC has also empowered the newly formed committee to hold consultations with the four tribes until they are independent and are able to stand by themselves, the source added.
