IGNTU signs MoUs with Sweden, Belarus

Prof T V Kattimani, Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University has executed five Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) in the field of academic, research, development during the state visit to Sweden and Belarus along with the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, according to IGNTU-Regional Campus, Manipur.
The statement was released after his return to India by Prof Kattimani after successful state visits to Sweden from May 31 to June 2 and Belarus from June 2-4, 2015.The academic delegation included Prof S A Bari, VC, Central University of Gujarat, Prof Jawahar Lal Kaul, VC, Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Prof Narendra S Chaudhari, Director, VNIT-Nagpur, Prof Gautam Biswas, Director, IIT-Guwahati, Prof V Ramakrishnan, Director, IISER-Thiruvananthapuram and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Director (NITs), Ministry of HRD and political delegation included Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Ashwini Kumar, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) as well as some senior officials.

A large business delegation of around 120 persons put together by FICCI, CII and ASSOCHAM also visited Stockholm and Minsk during these days and held discussions with their counterparts as well as concluded many agreements.
Five MOUs were signed between IGNTU and Swedish and Belarusian Universities.
First MoU signed betweenIGNTU, Amarkantak (MP) India and Karlstad University, Sweden focused on development of academic cooperation in the field of research & education and dual degree programs as per UGC.
Second MoU was signed between IGNTU, Amarkantak (M P) India and Link�ping University, Sweden.
The departments and faculties covered under this MoU are as Humanities, Languages, Social Sciences, Computer & IT Sciences, Educational Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy, Life Sciences and Natural Sciences and Engineering Sciences and Technology.
Both universities will look into the possibilities of establishing Twinning and Joint Degree Programs under Meta University Concept.
MoU was signed by Prof T V Kattimani from IGNTU and Professor Peter V�rbrand, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Link�ping University, Sweden.
Third MoU signed between Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak (MP) India and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, Minsk, the Republic of Belarus.
IGNTU and BSUCA agreed to explore the possibility of engaging in the following modes of collaboration and the objectives of this MoU are: Exchange of information on research, teaching, learning materials and other literature relevant to their educational and training programmes and joint organization of seminars, conferences, workshops and short-term continuing education programs on topics of mutual interest, while extending invitations to each other's faculty to participate therein and joint proposal and engagement in teaching or training programmes sponsored by funding agencies; while extending invitations to each other's faculty to participate therein and to promote interaction between IGNTU and BSUCA in mutually beneficial areas.
Fifth MoU was signed between Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak (MP) India and the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, Minsk, the Republic of Belarus.
On the basis of equality and mutual interests, both universities make efforts to promote and develop the following: Development and Promotion of joint research activities in the field of physical culture and sport, organization and promotion of joint international workshops, conferences and events; exchange of publications, educational, scientific and methodological information and exchange of academic staff and students, organization of their internships on the matter of mutual interests.
