15 new cases, 10 recoveries reported

Imphal, March 11 2022:
The state on Friday reported 15 new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 880 samples tested and registered a positivity rate of 1.70 per cent against 1.36 per cent recorded on Thursday.
No new death case was reported on Friday and the fatality toll stands at 2116 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 192 vaccinated persons of which 61 had received second doses.
In the last 24 hours, 10 patients were discharged from home isolation (8) and CCCs (2) .
The active case rose to 99 out of which 41 (41.41 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 289 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 119 in RIMS but there is no updated information on bed availability in Covid Care Centres.
Out of the 16 districts, only five reported fresh Covid cases on Friday.
So far, the state has recorded 11,174 positive cases and 114 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 179 new positive cases and 4 fatalities.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 90 and 3 respectively.
According to official reports, all the 15 fresh cases (7 male & 8 female) are from among the general population.
The positive cases are from Imphal East (1), Imphal West (9), Bishnupur (1), Chandel (2) and Tamenglong (2).The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,36,962 (general population - 1,31,948 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,747 (general population - 1,29,744 and CAPF personnel - 5,003) and number of active cases is 99 (general population -95 and CAPF personnel - 4 ).
The recovery rate is 98.38 per cent.
A total of 163 D-type and 17 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Whereas, 1309 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,20,417, out of which 11,60,419 had received second doses and 62,441 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,670), Imphal East (30,404), Thoubal (10,133), Churachandpur (11,043), Kangpokpi (3126), Tamenglong (3471), Bishnupur (9819), Senapati (2482), Ukhrul (3264), Kakching (6879), Chandel (2706), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1198), Jiribam (1110), Kamjong (1034) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (703), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (188), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (66), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (50), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,139 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,640 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,11,229 tests per million population against the national average of 5,53,791 TPM.
Case fatality rate came down to 1.54 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 880 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 1.70 per cent while the cumulative rate came down to 8.63 per cent.
