AR man found dead

An Assam Rifles personnel was found dead at Khangabok Sorok Wangma in Thoubal district last afternoon.
Pulinchandra Handique (55) who hailed from Sivsagar, Assam had established his home at Khangabok Sorok Wangma.
He was found dead on the first floor of his house yesterday afternoon.
Both his hands and legs were tied.
His neck was strangulated and his face was covered with a piece of cloth.
The body had started decomposing and it was the stench coming from the body that the neighbouring people came to know about the suspected murder.
Pulinchandra's wife Champani was staying at her parental home at Heirok Part II Thokchom Leikai after she sustained injuries in an LPG explosion while their daughter Dipsika was staying in the boarding of KM Blooming School.
Police have pulled up both the mother and the daughter for questioning.
In connection the murder, a joint action committee has been constituted after a public meeting was held at Khangabok last night.
The meeting strongly condemned the murder and blamed Champani and her parental family for the criminal act.
Demanding that Champani and her cohorts should be given exemplary punishment, the meeting resolved to boycott and banish Champani from the locality.
The meeting further resolved to ask Khangabok Zilla Parishad Member to write to Heirok Zilla Parishad member to expel Champani and her cohorts from Heirok.
The meeting also decided not sell any plot of land to people whose antecedents are not clear.
