Imphal, January 03 2012:
Alleging violation of party rules and regulations by Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress (TC) president Kim Gangte in the allotment of party tickets for the upcoming 10 Manipur Legislative Assembly election, candidate aspirant from Wangoi AC K Rabei said he would complain to Central leaders of the party on Kim's impetuous manner of functioning.
Speaking to newspersons at Manipur Press Club today, Rabei, who is also a State Executive Member of Trinamool Congress, contended that preferring one O Lukhoi over himself to contest from Wangoi AC as Trinamool candidate is violation of rules and regulations of the political organisation.
Confiding that he had collected ticket form on December 28 and was about to submit the same ahead of today's deadline, Rabei expressed surprise over the publication of the first phase Trinamool Congress candidates last evening.
Asserting that rejecting him from the first phase list of candidates is unjustifiable, he claimed that Lukhoi is not even a primary member of the political organisation compared to his association with Trinamool Congress from its formative period in Manipur.
Expressing strong resentment on the functioning of the State unit chief and opining that such an ill-treatment is bound to demoralise rank and file of the organisation, Rabei said through the party's North East in-charge KD Singh a letter of complain would be placed before the national president Mamata Banerjee.
Mamata Banerjee would be urged to explain as to why Lukhoi has been preferred over him.
Wangoi Kendra TC president L Aka Singh and party worker L Sonaton were also present at the media briefing.
