Mishap kills three

Imphal, August 24 2018:
Three persons have been killed while one sustained critical injuries when a car rammed into a stationary truck.
The accident occurred along Tiddim Road near Imphal airport under Lamphel police station at around 11 pm yesterday.
All the victims were said to be travelling in the ill-fated car (Hyundai Santro).
The car was travelling at high speed and it rammed into the truck from behind which was parked on the roadside.
All the four individuals travelling in the car sustained critical injuries and they were rushed to RIMS but three of them succumbed.
The deceased victims have been identified as Thokchom Premjit alias Boicha (29) s/o Ibocha of Changangei Uchekon, Kangabam Bony (23) s/o Modhu of Changangei Makha Leikai and Sagolsem Rakesh (30) s/o Bira of Mayang Imphal Maibam Konjil.
The one who has been undergoing treatment in critical condition has been identified as Laishram Santosh (27) s/o Sunil of Bishnupur.
Santosh runs an automobile workshop at Changangei Uchekon where Rakesh and Premjit were also working.
Bony worked at Shivz Autotech Pvt Ltd which is an authorised servicing centre of Mahindra Automobiles.
Santosh was driving the car and they met with the fatal accident on the way to Nambol.
A case has been registered in connection with the incident at Lamphel police station.
