Special entrance coaching concludes

The closing ceremony of the Special Entrance Coaching for admission to various universities organised under the aegis of All Manipur Students Union (AMSU) was held at the multipurpose hall of AMSU today.
Speaking on the occasion, vice president of AMSU, Laishram Athouba said that to help and guide the aspiring students who want to pursue higher studies in various universities of the country including Manipur University, AMSU initiated the Special Entrance Coaching since 2014 and has been conducting it annually till date.
However due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the coaching classes were delayed and it started from August 5 this year and was conducted through online and offline mode, he added.
Further he stated that Manipur University Human Resource Development Committee formed under the aegis of AMSU had organised the Special Entrance Coaching.
During the special coaching classes, altogether 48 teachers have been teaching around 28 subjects and around 1,583 students have availed the benefits of the said classes, he continued.
The programme was also attended by president of AMSU, Haobijam Chalamba Meitei, Vice-President of UCM, YK Dhiren and Chairman, MU-HRDC, Laishram Robindro as the presidium members.
The result of the mega mock test held in connection with the special coaching class was also declared today and the winners and teachers of the coaching class were honoured with simple gifts.
