Beauty and culture of Manipur to be showcased through digital technology: Governor

The State Government will attemptto showcase the beauty and culture of Manipur, through digital technology, by providing proper and related job opportunities.
This was stated by Governor, Dr Najma Heptulla while inaugurating a public convenience, constructed by 143 Battalion CRPF under its civic action plan, at Khonsang Village in Tamenglong district today.
During the inaugural function, Dr Najma Heptulla expressed happiness that she was able to spend some time with the people of Tamenglong during the Easter Week.
She advised the village authority and chairman of Khongsang village to conduct survey for men, women, children, on matters concerning health and life insurance and stressed on the importance of having such insurance.
The Governor assured that any scheme launched by the Centre or by the State Government, be it health insurance or education scheme etc, will be made available to the people at the remotest part of the village.
During her first visit in Tamenglong District, a representation was submitted demanding to construct a football ground and a computer training program centre in Khongsang village.
The Governor further assured the football ground will be made available to the pople from the Governor's fund while adding that she will discuss with the State Government on setting up a computer training centre in the village.
"The almighty is kind enough for giving us a clean atmosphere and a clean forest and it is our inherent duty to protect the nature, clean the rivers and lakes", she asserted.
The Governor lauded the work of 143 Bn CRPF and praised the contribution of the CRPF in making the Swatch Bharat mission successful.
It may be mentioned that the 143 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of IGP, CRPF Manipur & Nagaland Sector, Imphal constructed the two toilet blocks at Khongsang/Irang.
Vikram Sahgal, IGP, Manipur and Nagaland Sector and Lai Chand Yadav Commandant of 143, Battalion CRPF attended the ceremony.
The programme was marked with funfare and cultural dance presented by the locals.
More than 1000 people from Khiongsang, Irang, rengpang and nearby villages took part in the programme.
