Girls tell their version on Amusana assault case

The two girls, who were allegedly involved in the assault case of Chirom Amusana Devi, the vice-president of Nupi Khunai Lamshang Bazar on June 23 last, have narrated their version of the story in a press meet held today at Manipur Press Club.
The two girls told that the charges of assualting Amusana for campaigning against selling of liquor is wrong and concocted story.
They further communicated that the assault on Amusana happened out of the quarel over the issue of personal matter, not related with banning of liquor vendor.
The girls charged that Amusana's husband Janata Mohon is an immoral person who eve-teased them with illicit words.
In order to settle the matter, the girls' party had made a vebal complaint to Amusana about her husband, they added.
Contrary to their expectation, Amusana defended her husband following which the unwanted assualt took place on that day, the two girls insisted.
