Dr Ng Bijoy inspects development sites

Khurai AC MLA Dr Ng Bijoy Singh who heads Manipur Polution Control Board as chairman has today visited various locations of his constituency to inspect development works undertaken there.
The MLA first inspected the ongoing work of residential school being constructed at Chingkhei Ching under SSA.
The MLA's team then drove towards Chingarel to take stock of the 33/11 KV power sub station and also the construction of Chingarel Bridge over Iril River which will connect Tejpur and Phaknung.
Dr Bijoy also inspected the construction work at the road stretch from Lamlong Bridge to Khurai Heikrui Makhong of the Imphal-Saikul Road.
Commenting in connection with the inspection tour, Dr Bijoy expressed that the residential school constructed under SSA is now at its final stage of completion.
It was also mentioned that the residential school which has classes from class VI to VIII is now being run in a home at Khurai Sajor Leikai and further added that the school will be upgraded to class X with provision of free school uniforms, mid day meal along with monthly stipend of Rs 50 per students belonging to BPL families.
Furthermore, the Khurai AC MLA expressed that the power sub-station constructed at Chingarel will provide electricity to the villages of Kangla Sangomsang, Wairi, Kangla Siphai, Sawombung etc.
He further added that the Chingarel Bridge is completed and it would be inaugurated soon.
He also disclosed the necessary financial sanction has be done for double lane construction of Khewa Bridge on the road stretch of Tinsid Road.
Dr Bijoy further said that the road stretch from Lam-long Bridge to Khurai Heikru Makhong has long been under worst condition.
He continued that he had discussed the condition of the road with CM and Work Minister as the Imphal-Saikul road is a state highway.
In the mean time, some vested interest played politics over the road construction thereby creating social disorder for some time.
