Protest continues

Imphal, July 06 2026:
Continuing their series of protests against the alleged Government of India's (GoI) proxy war in Manipur, the All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO), Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur (PLMPAM), All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA), Committee on Human Rights (COHR) and the Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) organised a sit-in protest at Kakhulong today.
The demonstration was held in association with the Kakhulong Youth Committee and the Kakhulong Women Society.
Speaking to the media, PLMPAM general secretary Ima Apabi claimed that the people of Manipur have been suffering since the State's merger with India in 1949.She further alleged that the Government of India has been pursuing a "divide and rule" policy in Manipur by using a proxy group.
Appealing to the people to remain vigilant, she urged them not to fall into the alleged political game being played by the Government.
