TSA reacts to shortage of teachers at schools in Jiribam & Tamenglong

The Thadou Students' Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong Branch (TSA J&T) has expressed it discontentment over the school inspection report which showed inadequate and lack of Government teachers in Thadou villages Government Primary Schools of Jiribam and Tamenglong districts.
Many schools in villages -Lhangnom, Kulbung, Thingtuhbung, Khedegar Khasia etc were found with no adequate teachers it said and alleged that Lhangnom Village Government Primary School has only two teachers and they too have been utilised leaving the school with no teachers.
In some schools, TSA alleged, the students have never seen face of some teachers.
Some of the schools are being run by the village chiefs and locals, said TSA.
Taking serious note of the inadequate teachers at the schools in Jiribam and Tamenglong district, TSA cautioned the teachers posted in the schools concerned to attend school regularly.
If teachers concerned fail to occupy their place of posting from the year 2019, 'stern action' will be initiated against them, said TSA urging the Government and department concerned to monitor and take steps to counter the issue.
It appealed chiefs of the villages concerned to lend their support to TSA in improving the education system in the respective areas and the State as a whole.
It lauded Chief of Lhangnom village for his good work in maintaining the school at his village.
