JNIMS teachers on stir mode

An executive body meeting of the Teacher's Association JNIMS held today has decided to go ahead with the proposed one-day mass casual leave and sit-in-protest tomorrow which would be followed by a series of agitation.
The protest will be held in front of Medical Superintendent Office, JNIMS from 9.30 am while all the members of the TA JNIMS were appealed to submit their casual leave application to their respective HoDs and attend the sit-in without fail.
The executive meeting held at JNIMS today morning was chaired by JNIMS TA vice president Dr Th Opendro.
A press released issued by the association claimed that the association took the decision as the JNIMS Director has failed to fulfil the various resolutions taken by TA, JNIMS.
It stated that, during the mass sit-in-protest, members of the teachers association will however attend to patients already admitted.
On the other hand, a notice issued by the Director JNIMS has directed that no leave of any kind will be allowed to the employees of JNIMS and Dental College, JNIMS tomorrow, except on medical ground.
It further advised All Manipur Health Service doctors who are on deputation to this institution, along with all senior residents/tutors/demonstrators, who are appointed on tenure basis to this institute, to attend to their duties tomorrow without fail.
In view of the Manipur University examination, which is scheduled from January 3 to February 2, leave of any kind, except on medical ground, will not be entertained to the faculty members, staff of JNIMS and Dental College, JNIMS, during the said examination period, it added.
The notice instructed all the academic deans, Medical Superintendent, all heads of Departments, Nursing Superintendent, Sister in-charges etc to ensure strict compliance so as to maintain the academic atmosphere and patient care at JNIMS.
