Jiribam, January 04 2008:
The unidentified dead body which the Jiri Police had retrieved from Khasin Punji, 6 km north of Jiri Police Station on January 1 last would be disposed off tomorrow by Jiribam Municipal Council as nobody has come forward to claim the corpse.
The deceased appears to be of around 25 years.
The man is dark in complexion and wears a white woollen shirt with black stripes and a light blue trouser.
It appears that the deceased might have been strangulated before he was hit with a sharp weapon on his head as there is an injury mark on his head.
A rope was found near the dead body when the police recovered it.
The dead body which is of around 5'3'' in height appears to be a Hindi speaking person.
