In view of the need of non-COVID patients needing critical care, some private and public hospitals which are empanelled for PMJAY and CMHT have started accepting OPD patients from today.
In a release, CEO State Health Agency Haulianlal Guite said that PMJAY and CMHT beneficiaries requiring hospitalization can approach the said hospitals and avail free treatment.
The hospitals are CHC Wangoi, RIMS Lamphelpat, Sekmai CHC, Urban Health Centre Singjamei, Imphal Heart Institute (private), Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (private), District Hospital Chandel, District Hospital Ukhrul, District Hospital Tamenglong, CHC Saikul, CHC Kakching, Sub-District Hospital Sugnu, Jivan Hospital and PHC Maram.
He further said that the health agency is following up with all other empanelled hospitals for their continuing acceptance of non-COVID patients to ensure that the beneficiaries of the said schemes are not deprived of their rights to avail free and quality treatment under the scheme even during the intensified lockdown.
Mention may be made that Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) is a health scheme that provides free hospitalization of upto Rs 5 lakh per year per family for poor families.
