The Maha-Tumit Area Chiefs and Authorities Association and the Moyon Naga Students' Union, Manipur have urged upon the State Govt to upgrade Komlathabi Public Health SubCentre (PHSC) to the status of a PHC at the earliest.
In separate press release, the two bodies pointed out that Komlathabi PHSC is serving around 25,000 people comprising of minority tribes like Aimols, Taraos, Moyons, Monsangs, Lamkangs, Chothes, Marings etc.
As the population of the area is fast increasing, there is urgent need to upgrade the PHSC to the status of a PHC for which Rs 62.72 lakhs for construction of institutional building and Rs 65.07 lakhs for construction of staff quarters have been already approved.
