Imphal, December 09 2010:
On the completion of one year, the Civil Liberties Protection Forum (CLPF) conveyed that it will continue the fight against rampant violations of human rights by both the state and non state actors in the state.
CLPF which was formed on 10th December 2009 for the cause of protecting human rights said that the time has come to join hands and fight for rights legally.
It said that those whose rights are violated are most welcome to let CLFP know about the violations so that the forum can extend all possible
help.
In the press release on the occasion of completion of its first year, the forum highlighted the history of conflict and subsequent violation of rights by both the central and state government and lately by the non state armed groups that are mushrooming all over Manipur.
The forum also called attention to the ills of the AFSPA which is the source of many rights violations.
