The All Manipur Tribal Union (AMTU) has sent out greetings to all and prayed for a successful Orange Festival.
General secretary of AMTU, Romeo Bungdon said that Tamenglong district is backward, due to the terrains due to which it cannot even provide enough staple food like rice and other cereals for the survival of the people.
So event like Orange Festival will boost the economical properity as it has tourism potential.
Romeo Bungdon then said that Zeliangrong people are highly intact in cultural and traditional affinities which are the by-products of their social natural sanctity.
The AMTU leader also said that the hospitality and philosophy of the Zeliangrong people are upright and justice which are praiseworthy.
"These are the ethics of a typical broadminded tribal indeed," said Romeo Bungdon.
The AMTU then suggested that since Tamenglong district has a tourism potential to a great extent, a heli-port with an airstrip be constructed.
