They were also accompanied by State team of 6 members, who are officials of SSA, RTE/Mid Day Meal (MDM) along with the ZEO and inspectors of the district.
The Joint Review mission on SSA, RTE/MDM, was vital for the smooth and better functioning of the Government schools in the district.
It comes as a booster towards the stakeholders, but more so towards the Village authorities, School Management and Development Committee, Head Masters/mistress and the teaching and non teaching staff of the district.
The record maintenance of attendance of staff and students' register, Uniform records, SMDC Meeting proceedings, yellow card, check book, Food quality, health status of students, infrastructure of the school, and kitchen appliances were scrutinized by the joint team.
Two teams were formed and each visited targeted schools as per the directive of the Central team in order that wider area is covered.
The weather condition that was characterized by constant precipitation hindered the team from visiting the interior parts of the district.
According to the visiting central team, Headmaster/mistress, staff required to attain up gradational courses.
The basic effort that requires urgent attention is as to how children should be brought back to government schools whose parents have more faith in the private run schools.
Despite mid day meals and other innovative schemes to attract children to school have failed due to mushrooming private schools, remarked one of the headmistresses.
Inadequate maintenance of register, records, documentation, ration cards were found ill maintained.
Misappropriation and diversion of funds must be well checked.
