Imphal, July 16 2021:
All Manipur Ethnical Socio-cultural Organisation (AMESCO) has said they will look into the discrepancies arising between Dharma Raksa Samiti and Pandit Loisang during recent times.
AMESCO said in a statement that as the claims and counter claims between the two organisation has come up and it may affect the entire state, AMESCO has decided to intervene in the matter.
Pandit Loisang has been claiming that the decision by Govindajee Temple Board to put the wheels of Kang at the site of Ebudhou Pakhangba, Lainingthou Nongsaba and Ema Ebemma Yumchao Lairembi cannot be allowed as the deities has been at the site since a long time, added the statement.
Dharma Raksa Samiti on the other hand has said this claims are not true as the temples of the deities were shifted to the current site from its previous site on the side of Pakhangba Pukhri (Pakhangba Pond) which is currently occupied by Macha Leima School, added the statement.
