Training on Home Isolation Management, online reporting held

Imphal, July 16 2021:
A Training Programme for Home Isolation Management and online reporting was held for doctors and community health officers, ANM and other paramedics at CHC Nambol and PHC Leimapokpam on Thursday.
The training was conducted by State Home Isolation Team led by deputy director (Public Health) Dr Y Prem-chandra Singh.
The training programme highlighted that every patient staying on Home Isolation (HI) is assigned a doctor and nurse/paramedics for monitoring and all HI patient are made accessible to doctor's advice.
All patients are being followed up twice a day by nurses/community health officers or medical officer.
All patients are given pulse oximeter, HI related drugs, mask and sanitisers.
The patients are advised to measure SpO2 (oxygen saturation) level at least twice a day and report to the monitoring staff.
The SpO2 value, PR and any symptoms of Covid are monitored twice a day by these staff.
This data is recorded in monitoring sheet and also uploaded in the MHIM app.
PHC and district level doctor monitor the uploaded vitals and necessary advice for drugs or referral to Covid Care Centre and hospital is given.
Daily monitoring of non-receipt of drugs, oximeter by the patient is monitored at the state level for quick and prompt action to ensure its delivery.
At the village level, ASHA workers are delivering home isolation kits at home.
Dedicated AC level doctors are also monitoring the patients.
A team of around 40 medical staff are constantly monitoring Home Isolation patient at the state level.
District level HI team headed by DNO supervises the district level HI activities.
Special Teams are made to deliver drugs, oximeter at places where health facilities or staffs are not easily accessible.
Two Special State Level Home Visit team consisting of doctors has been visiting patient requiring physical examination since first week of June 2021.3436 patients are presently at Home Isolation, out of cumulative 41034 patients in the state.
