Assam Cattle Preservation Bill-2021, not a threat to Northeast region, says Wilubou Newmai

BJP Spokesperson, Wilubou Newmai has categorically stated that the Assam Cattle Preservation Bill - 2021 introduced by Assam Government is not a threat to the Northeast region.
Saying that the Bill is not detrimental to the inherent trade and deprives the food habits of the indigenous people of NE region, he added that the Bill will help in ushering a new era of communal harmony in Northeast India.
Assam's culture encourages cow protection.
Even Assamese people have a special/dedicated day for cows during Bihu, he added.
Reiterating that this Bill will not create any communal tension rather help in creating communal harmony, Newmai added that there is no need to fear or worry about the Bill.
It will not go against other NE States which Congress believes will snatch away the livelihood of cattle traders, he maintained.
Cattle transport from other neighbouring States can also be allowed if they issue valid permits for transportation, Newmai said and every State should have a Cattle Preservation Bill.
