The four day meeting of top State Govt officials for scrutiny on progress and expenditures of schemes undertaken by various departments began from today at the office chamber of Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioners, Secretaries and heads of department.
Press sources linked the meeting as discussion platform for expeditious implementation and progress of schemes/projects under the Central Sponsored Scheme and Central Plan Scheme for the 2004-05 annual plan which also include projects under financial assistance of Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources and NEC.
On the first day today, the meeting converged on discussions relating to Forests and Environment, LDA, Medical, Social Welfare, YAS, Adult Education, Cooperation and Tourism wherein concerned Commissioners and heads of department were present.
The second day will feature scheme expenditure and progress pertaining to plan, NLCPR, NEC and Education (S) within the ambit of Hr Edn; SCERT�s plan and NLCPR; plan, labour and employment and ITI of District Council; PWD, Police, transport, FCS, Mahud etc.
