ICP urges bodies

Imphal, March 23 2015:
Expressing strong concern over the reported violent confrontations between Tamenglong Village Authority and Tamenglong Village Council, the Inriangluang (Tamenglong) Chabuan Phuam (ICP) urged both parties to exercise maximum restraint.
In a statement ICP urged both the parties to resolve the dispute peacefully through dialogue and in a democratic spirit and do everything to restore normalcy.
It also appealed to all the peace loving Inriangluang villagers to reject violence in all its forms and all acts of retaliation.
Further, it urged both the groups to respect the aspirations and wishes of the villagers who have expressed their voice against violence in many forms including continuous prayer programmes, appeals and historic mass peace rally taken out on Jan 14, 2014 where hundreds of villagers, old and young, women and children, youth and from all walks of lives participated.
