Churachandpur, January 20 2022: Rev Dr Lalrosiem Songate, Principal Evangelical College of Theology on Tuesday released the book "The Secret of Churachandpur" compiled and authored by Dr Lhunkhohao Haokip at Agape Christian Museum Centre, Tuibong.

The 544 pages book went to press in 2021 after the author spent a painstaking 11 years collecting materials and data.

Dr Lhunkhohao stated that the idea about the book crossed his mind when Churachandpur celebrated 100 years of receiving the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2010 .

He spent the next decade working, to give his idea a realistic form.

Several officials, including the Chief Minister and other top bureaucrats in the state are instrumental to get his work published, he said.

The massive book covered a vast theme concerning Churachandpur.

Articles from the pioneer missionaries to and from the district; preachers and evangelists are well recorded.

It also touched the life history of several noted Reverends, Doctorates Degree holders, Priests or Pastors and Church elders.

"The Secret of Churachandpur" also covered several seasoned politicians, Government officers and sports personalities.

The founders of notable NGOs that are known worldwide; schools and institutions that shaped the district education system, and other notable founders are also recorded in the book.

The book which cost Rs 1200 will be given for free to all the Bible Colleges, Orphanage Homes located within the district.
