Imphal, January 20 2022:
The Socialist Revolutionary Party Kangleipak (SOREPA) has boycotted Republic Day and called a total shutdown on January 26 from 1 am till 5 pm.
A press release issued by SOREPA said that rituals, media, emergency and health services will be exempted from the purview of the shutdown.
Claiming that India didn't consider the sentiments of Kashmir and WESEA region while formulating its rule book, SOREPA alleged that people of Khalistan, Kashmir and WESEA region have been bearing the brunt of colonialism.
Alleging that India has been carrying out ethnic genocide campaigns in all independent kingdoms which it annexed, SOREPA claimed that India is not a republic State as claimed but an entity which adopts expansionist policy.
The recent massacre at Nagaland's Oting was not a nature of a republican State but a part of the Indian ethnic genocide efforts, SOREPA claimed and alleged that many Muslims were killed in Gujarat when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of the State in 2002 .
Extension of the draconian AFSPA 1958 in Nagaland and Manipur recently is another reminder that India has no regard for people in the WESEA region who are Mongoloid, SOREPA added.
Recalling the killings at Patsoi, Oinam, Heirangoithong, RIMS, Malom and the cases of Chanu Rose, Manorama, Rabina-Sanjit, SOREPA claimed that there are many examples to prove India is not a republican State.
The international communities are aware of the freedom struggles for Khalistan, Kashmir and WESEA region which have been annexed by India, the outfit claimed.
Claiming that the ugly nature of India politics is more visible during the time of elections, the statement maintained that unchecked abuse of drugs and alcohol at election offices is the main cause of poll related violence which have been reported from different corners of the State.
SOREPA also expressed concern over the declining ethical and moral values among the youth.
Use of intoxicants, brute force, money and muscle power is visible not only in Assembly or Parliamentary elections but also at school and college level, it claimed.
SOREPA also said that the WESEA region has the potential to win more medals internationally even more than colonial India.
Reiterating that the entire WESEA region was never a part of India, the outfit claimed that Republic Day celebration has nothing to do with the people of WESEA, Khalistan and Kashmir.
Saying that a collective effort is needed to overthrow the hegemony being enjoyed by India, it urged all to take forward the movement to liberate themselves from the colonial might.
