RIMS to resume normal functions

Imphal, March 11 2022:
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has informed that compulsory RTPCR test for patients requiring admission in RIMS including ICU and for invasive/non-invasive procedures is removed as the COVID-19 positivity rate is declining.
But RTPCR/RAT may be done on the discretion of the treating doctors.
An order has been issued in this regard by Professor N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent of RIMS and it further informed that normal functioning of RIMS will be resumed with immediate effect however if there is any instance of rise in Covid cases, the protocols and procedures, duty rosters etc will be re-activated.
Also the Surgery ward-Unit II/III which was used as Covid ward will be opened with immediate effect.
The above resolutions were taken during a meeting of all the clinical Heads of Departments/Units, RIMS held on March 10 at the office chamber of the Medical Superintendent, RIMS.
