Consumers Club Manipur, Bishnupur District Branch appealed everyone to ensure that no the problems that happened last month during the distribution of rations under NFSA and PMGKAY are not repeated in the month of July.
Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur had also issued an order directing all FPS agents to distribute the exact quantity of rice to all the beneficiaries and if any agent was found not following the regulations, strict actions will be taken up against them, said a statement issued by Consumers Club Manipur, Bishnupur District Branch.
The statement also appealed the Government to understand the woes faced by agents of FPS, who are paid a minimal honorarium of Rs 65/quintal, which have not been paid in the last 2 or 3 years.
Consumers Club appealed the Government to release the unpaid honorarium for the FPS agents at the earliest.
Consumers Club also appealed the public to submit relevant documents to the concerned office for application of new ration cards and those with cards to link their family members if any were left out by linking with aadhaar cards.
The statement also sought attention of the Government regarding the utilisation of rations including rice and lentils meant for children between 6 months to 3 years, pregnant and lactating mothers and mid day meals, if there has been a report of less and less numbers of students enrolling in Government schools.
