Pension cards distributed

Kakching, March 25 2023:
District Social Welfare Office, Kakching today organised the distribution of pension cards under Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme (MOAPS) and Chief Minister's Widow Pension Scheme (CMWPS) at the campus of Yumbi Macha High School in Kakching Sangaiyumpham.
The programme was attended by Kakching AC MLA, Mayanglambam Rameshwar and District Social Welfare Officer Kakching, Nikita Thangjam as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, M Rameshwar stated that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh, a number of development works/ projects have been initiated in the district for the welfare of the public.
The MLA stated that upon his request to the CM and Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan, a sum of Rs 53.35 Crore was sanctioned for the construction of a 100 bedded General Hospital in the district.

M Rameshwar then announced that he would strive to complete the construction work soon and make the Hospital operational during his tenure as an MLA.
He continued that to solve the issue of water scarcity in the district, reservoirs of Kakching Water Supply will be expanded/ upgraded and overhead tanks will be constructed in Kakching Wairi and Kakching Irum Mapal.
Nikita Thangjam informed that a total of 413 persons for MOAPS and 213 persons for CMWPS have been approved from Kakching AC.
"However, only 322 cards of MOAPS and 88 cards of CMWPS were distributed today", said the DSWO while appealing to the remaining beneficiaries to submit their aadhaar cards and photographs at the District Social Welfare Office.
