Chief Secretary reviews stock position

Ahead of the rainy season, the Chief Secretary, together with officials of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, today reviewed the available stocks of oil, rice and sugar.
An official source informed that the present stock of rice in the CAF&PD godown is healthy.
The position of fuel is also satisfactory.
The present stock of rice would last 58 days, wheat would last for 63 days, sugar 59 days, petrol 19 days, diesel 21 days, kerosene 25 days, while LPG would last two days.
There is enough stock of ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) for 26 days.
The Chief Secretary also reportedly instructed IOC officials to speed up construction work of the rail-fed oil depot at Malom.
