Imphal, May 08 2012:
Stating that the frequent resurfacing of the boundary dispute between Jessami village of Manipur and Melouri of Nagaland is unfortunate, the National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) has contended that the incompetency of the two state Governments to solve the dispute shows their weaknesses.
In a statement, IPR secretary of NIPCO Shahabudin Chesaba said both the Government of Manipur and Nagaland should be held responsible for any untoward incident arising from it.
The NIPCO statement further urged the State Government to deploy additional police force to safeguard the territory of the State and to prevent any unwanted happenings in future.
