Imphal, October 25 2012:
Former NCP Manipur State unit leader Radhabinod Koijam has been expelled from the party with immediate effect.
According to an official notification issued by NCP Honorary Permanent Secretary SR Kohli, a decision to this end was adopted in a meeting of the NCP disciplinary action committee held on October 18 .
Meanwhile, NCP MLA L Ibomcha has urged the Government to intervene and clarify on the burning issue surrounding allegations and counter allegations for and against Speaker Th Lokeshore and his wife's appointment as Under Secretary in Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat using OBC certificate.
In this connection, there is no reason why the Chief Secretary, being the head of Department of Personnel and concerned DC's/ADC's should remain silent regarding issuance of OBC certificate.

The concerned authorities, are answerable, taking it as a statutory and obligatory responsibility, to clarify and enlighten the public as to the eligibility criteria for issuing OBC certificates either by birth or marriage, as per prevailing rules of the law, Ibomcha said in a press release.
In case the OBC certificate is found incorrect, it should be invalidated forthwith, and the concerned issuing authorities should be penalised for their misconduct, the MLA demanded.
