Imphal, January 22, 2012:
Former general secretary of North Imphal United Club and Meira Paibi Organisation, Naorem Jinjoy has accused Nagaland Chief Minister Nephiu Rio of trying to create division in Manipur while campaigning for NPF candidates in the ensuing election.
Jinjoy was addressing a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today.
He said that Nephiu Rio's comment during his campaigns in the hill districts on the non-existence of Naga platform in the State was an attempt to demolish the peace and co-existence amongst various communities in the State.
The comment of Nagaland Chief Minister obviously revealed that he is not discussing or understands history of the State, he added.
Jinjoy further alleged that Rio is now on his process of interrupting the peace and overall affairs of the North Eastern States of Manipur, Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradhesh.
Jinjoy maintained that instead of addressing his own issue of Eastern Nagaland, Nephiu Rio spoke on various mischievous issues in order to spark communal conflicts in Manipur.
He could be ostracised one day by a mass community movement of the said four States if he continued similar acts in future, he added.
