Zeme Naga Council condemns firing incident at Bendramai

Senapati, June 02 2022:
The Zeme Naga Council, Senapati Zone has condemned the firing incident that took place on the intervening night of May 31 at Local Ground, Bendramai village.
It may be mentioned that several bullets were reportedly fired at 2 JCBs from sophisticated weapons by unknown miscreants with the villagers recovering around 17 rounds of empty ammunition from the site.
In a release, Zeme Naga Council, Senapati Zone president Fuidigwangbe stated that the incident which targeted the public and Centre Baptist Church in particular was unfortunate.

He informed that the Church reportedly hired 2 JCBs for construction of the new Church building at Bendramai while adding that JCBs does not belong to any work agency presently engaged in widening of Maram-Peren road, NH-129(A) .
The Council urged the persons/organizations involved to come out and take responsibility for the unfortunate act.
The Zeme Naga Council further urged the law enforcing agency to book the culprit as per law of the land.
