State logs 1.4 pc TPR; 3 more test positive

Imphal, April 28 2022:
With three individuals confirmed positive out of 207 samples tested during the last 24 hours, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 1.4 per cent.
The new positive cases belong to Imphal East, Imphal West and Ukhrul.
Following recovery, three Covid-19 positive people were discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State is now 1,37,220 (general population 1,32,206 and Central security personnel 5014) .
This figure includes 17 active cases from general population and 1,35,083 recovered cases (general population 1,30,076 and Central security personnel 5007) .
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.44 per cent.
Even though there was no report of Covid related death in the State during the last 24 hours, the pandemic has already claimed 2120 lives.
A total of 82 D-type oxygen cylinders and 25 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
All the 300 Covid beds of JNIMS and 190 of RIMS are at present vacant.
Taking into account 2822 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,38,655 (first dose 15,55,462, second dose 12,02,447 and precautionary dose 80,746) .
Till Wednesday, 51.27 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.66 per cent has been given the first dose.
