Kakching, April 28 2022:
The Citizens Association For Rural Development (CARD), Wabagai has condemned the call of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to make Hindi a compulsory subject for all students upto Class X in all the North Eastern States.
In a release, CARD Wabagai secretary, M Manishwar Khuman alleged that the imposition of Hindi language is against the very essence of democracy and is an attempt to undermine the indigenous communities living in the state.
M Manishwar further stated that different communities in Manipur have their own unique language and imposition of Hindi language would be detrimental to the indigenous communities.
