JCCWB volunteers rescue owl

Kakching, April 28 2022:
A team of Joint Co-ordination Committee on Wildlife & Biodiversity (JCCWB), Manipur on Thursday rescued a brown wood owl from the residence of Sekmai MLA Heikham Dingo which was later released into the wild.
Speaking to the media, JCCWB convener Romesh Ningthoujam said that they received a call on their helpline number about an owl straying into MLA Dingo's house near PHC Khurkhul after which a team led by him went and rescued the bird.
The rescued owl was later released into the wild by the team accompanied by MLA's brother H Jhaljit, he added.
