Imphal, April 28 2022:
CYCLONE (Thangmeiband) recorded their second straight win after beating Blue Hawk (Khurai Lamlong) by 4 wickets in the 6th MNCA W Prahlad & W Ramananda Elite Tournament on Thursday.
Blue Hawk elected to bat first and were all out for 145 in 34.4 overs.
In the innings, Sanatomba (43), Nongthombam Ajit (23), Sunil Salam (15), Laishram Ronson (14), Jitendra Bishan Thakur (12 not out) and Gautam Soubam got into double figures.
CYCLONE'S bowling attack saw Bikash Singh and Kabrambam Homendro pick 3 wickets each as Thoudam Akshaykumar and Longjam Ronald did their bit with a double apiece.
After their fine bowling display, the Thangmeiband side rounded off the chase in 33.4 overs with 6 wickets to spare.
Jenpu Kamei (30), Longjam Ronald (27), Bikash Singh (21), Narsingh Yadav (19), Loktongbam Santosh (12), Kabrambam Homendro (9) and Paul Zomi (7) were contributors in CYCLONE'S convincing triumph.
Two each of CYCLONE'S wickets fell prey to Jitendra Bishan Thakur and Sunil Salam and one each to Wakambam Samson and Mutum Pritam.
Bikash Singh was adjudged man of the match.
