TPR of sub 5 pc logged for sixth day on the trot

Imphal, October 19 2021:
The daily positivity rate of COVID-19 in Manipur fell below 5 percent for six consecutive days with the registration of 3.8 percent on Tuesday.
From 5.1 percent on October 13, it dipped to 2.5 percent on October 14, followed by 4.3 percent on October 15, 4.4 percent on October 16 & 17 and 4.6 percent on October 18.None of the districts reported a Covid positive rate in double digit in the period, but the table was again topped by Kamjong after a day break with 8.8 percent updated today.
It may be noted that Kamjong reported a daily positivity rate of 30 and 23.7 percent on October 14 and 17 respectively.
In the last 24 hours, at least 95 new Covid cases including 6 CAPF personnel and 4 deaths were reported from across the State, according to the Covid Common Control Room.
The new Covid cases from the among the general population are from Imphal East (19), Imphal West (40), Thoubal (6), Bishnupur (13), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (4), Chandel (4), Churachandpur (1) and Noney (1) .
With the addition of 95 new cases, the Covid caseload has gone up to 1,22,899 while the death toll has mounted to 1,901 .
The four Covid deaths are from Imphal East (2) and one each from Thoubal and Kangpokpi.
District wise, Imphal West remains at the top of Covid death tally with 633 deaths reported so far and it is followed by Imphal East (449) and Bisnupur (189) .
Today, another 116 were discharged from Home Isolation (23), RIMS (4), JNIMS (19) and CCCs (70), bringing down the active cases further to 1,358 as compared to 1383 on Monday.
The recovery rate now stands at 97.35 percent.
According to the Government bulletin, 1004 D-type and 117 B-type oxygen cylinders were distributed to different health facilities on October 18 and 12,829 Covid vaccine doses were administered on the same day.
The doses administered in Manipur so far stand at 18,41,865 .
