Slight dip with 598 new cases, back to double digit deaths with 15

A slight dip in new cases and back to the double digit figure in the number of deaths.
This was how the last 24 hours unfolded in Manipur, as the State recorded 598 new cases and 15 deaths.
The 598 new cases are all civilians with no Central security personnel returning positive results and come from 4,987 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
The 15 deaths came after two days of Manipur recording single digit deaths with 9 each on June 6 and June 5 .
On June 6, the State reported 823 new positive cases.
According to a statement issued by thespokesperson of COVID-19 Common Control Room, 15 persons lost their lives to Covid in the last 24 hours.
The deceased hailed from Imphal West (5), Imphal East (6), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1) and Churachandpur (1) .
They passed away at RIMS (3), JNIMS (5), Shija Hospital (4), Raj Medicity (1), District Hospital, Churachandpur (1) and Bal Bhavan (1).With the addition of 15 more deaths the cumulative figure of deaths has reached 896.The number of cases continue to climb with 598 persons more testing positive in the last 24 hours.
This figure is inclusive of 292 males and 306 females.
With 598 more, the cumulative figure has reached 55, 828 including 3,767 Central security personnel.
The 598 persons hail from Imphal East (117), Imphal West (202), Thoubal (72), Bishnupur (54), Kakching (26), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (83), Chandel (6), Senapati (4), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (7), Kangpokpi (1), Kamjong (5), Jiribam (14), and Noney (1) .
They were tested at RIMS (49), JNIMS (32), District Hospitals (289) and other testing centres (228) .
Altogether 783 persons were discharged during the last 24 hours and out of this 555 were under home isolation, 11 from RIMS, 19 from JNIMS and 198 from other Covid Care Centres.
With this the cumulative number of recovered cases has reached 45,948 (general population-42,191 and Central security personnel-3757) .
The number of active cases now stand at 8984 (8979 from the general population and 5 Central security personnel) .
The recovery rate is 82.30 percent.
Of the 57 air passengers who were tested at BT Airport today, none tested positive.
On the other hand a total of 1310 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 462 B Type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the State.
District hospitals and Government institutions have 380D, 71B filled cylinders and out of this Bishnupur has (73D, 4B), Chandel (32D,7B), Churachandpur (72D,0B), Senapati (32D,0B), Thoubal (39D,18B), Ukhrul (21D,0B), Tamenglong (30D,5B), Jiribam (36D,10B), Moreh (18D,5B), Kamjong (3D,1B), Kangpokpi (3D,0B), Kakching (13D,19B), Noney (2D,0B), and Pherzawl (6D,2B).The total number of persons vaccinated is 4,23,072 .
