Even though 112 samples were tested for Covid-19 at different testing centres during the last 24 hours, no positive case was detected.
With no cases of discharge during the last 24 hours, the number of active cases remains static at eight.
All of them are civilians.
The death toll too remains unchanged at 2120 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is 1,37,225 (general population 1,32,211 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure is inclusive of 1,35,097 recovered cases (general population 1,30,090 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The recovery rate as on Friday is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 350 D-type oxygen cylinders and 97 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
All the 300 Covid beds of JNIMS and 190 of RIMS are at present unoccupied.
Taking into account 2006 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,53,051 (first dose 15,58,738, second dose 12,08,044 and precautionary dose 86,269) .
Till May 5, 51.44 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.68 per cent has been given the
first dose.
