2nd lowest hike of 20 for 2022 reported

Imphal, March 01 2022:
Manipur recorded the second lowest new cases on a single day with 20 cases.
This is the second lowest new cases detected in 24 hours, for the year 2022.The lowest was on January 2 this year when the State recorded 16 new cases.
Manipur also recorded no deaths in the last 24 hours.
The 20 new cases were detected while testing a total of 669 samples to take the daily positivity rate to 3.0 percent.
The 20 persons are from Imphal East (1), Imphal West (9), Thoubal 2), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Kangpokpi (2), Tengnoupal (2) and Ukhrul (2) .
The cumulative number of infected persons is now 1,36,803 including 5009 Central security personnel and the number of active cases is 303 including 11 Central security personnel.
The death count continues to be 2112 .
On the other hand 39 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (34), RIMS (1), JNIMS (1) and CCCs (3) .
The total number of recovered cases is now 1,34,388 inclusive of 4991 Central security personnel and the recovery rate is 98.23 percent.
On February 28, 1962 Covid vaccines were administered and the total number of persons vaccinated is 27,08,918 including 11,37,915 persons who have received the second jab and 59,385 precautionary shots.
Overall 48.6 percent of the eligible population have received the second vaccination shot and 61.01 the first dose.
