AIBA Ranking : Shamjetsabam Sarjubala is World Number 3

Imphal, January 30 2015 : Shamjetsabam Sarjubala Devi has been placed at International Boxing Association � AIBA World Ranking No.3 since December.

The AIBA World Ranking is determined by the performance of men and women boxers in AIBA Approved Competitions following AIBA Open Boxing (AOB) Competition Rules.

Sarjubala achieved success at the Youth World Women Boxing Championship organized at Turkey and the Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) announced its support fir Sarjubala in 2012 .

She began boxing at school in 2005 and two years later joined Sports Authority of India training centre in Imphal India.

She has been place at Rank 3 under the weight category 45-48 kg.

She won the world youth championships in 2011 and later went on to win the senior national championships the same year.

In the Olympics in 2016, she is expected to a be serious medal prospect.
