Imphal, January 30 2015 : SSB Lucknow, PHAM Yaiskul, ARC Shillong and SEYO Singjamei claimed victories on the third day of the 1st Wahengbam Thoibi Devi Challenge Hockey Trophy 2015 organised by Manipur Hockey at Khuman Lampak hockey stadium.

In today's first match, SSB Lucknow swamped Radial Club Nagaon 4-1 .

SSB's goals were scored by L Joychandra (10th), O Gunamani (17th, 36th) and Arif Ansari in the 47th minute.

The only goal for Radial Club was found by Ratal Ansari in the 59th minute.

SEYO Singjamei claimed a comfortable 6-2 win against YCCIC Ahallup in the second match of the day.

PHAM and Meira players battle for the ball

SEYO's Kh Naresh slammed the opening goal in the 21st minute followed with a brace from Ksh Umashankar in the 26th and 65th minute and strikes from Ksh Sumeshkanta, I Stelin and A Sanjoy in the 51st, 55th and 62nd minute respectively gave SEYO 6 goals.

On the other hand, YCCIC managed to score just two goals from N Sanjoy and N Huru in the 34th and 47th minute respectively.

In another match, PHAM Yaiskul crushed Meira Basikhong by a margin of 11 goals to four.

Team captain of PHAM Kh Jayanta alone banged in eight goals in the 2nd, 6th, 7th, 22nd, 34th, 45th, 48th and 60th minute while Kh Rahikanta struck twice in the 10th and 67th minute.

K Debeshwor contributed one goal in the 40th minute.

Meira's goals were scored by Th Tompok (55th, 65th) and S Juncson and K Herojit in the 20th and 52nd minute respectively.

In the last and fourth match of the day, ARC Shillong overcame Hockey Union Lairikyengbam 3-1 .

The match began with Hockey Union taking the lead after K Boi scored the opening goal in the 36th minute.

Strikes from Th Banti, M Premchand and L Lijon in the 43rd, 57th and 60th minute helped ARC to overcome Hockey Union.

Tomorrow, Lizard Library, Wangkhei will play KHSC Khongman, Meira Basikhong will meet SSB Lucknow, Hockey Union, Lairikyenbam will compete with Radial Club, Nagaon and AMHA will clash with YCCIC, Ahallup.
