Imphal, November 01 2021: A team of Narcotics Cell, Imphal East led by its OC inspector Kh Devkumar and assisted by members of Youth Athletic Development Association rounded up a man with 24 grams of heroin at Top Khongnangkhong near Public Club on Sunday around 2.20 pm.

The arrested man has been identified as Vivek Laishram (27), son of L Irabanta Singh of Top Awang Leikai.

According to police report, the joint team conducted frisking and checking in and around Top Khongnangkhong near Public Club after receiving reliable information.

During the checking, Vivek was arrested with 24 grams of Heroin.

Along with the seized drug, Vivek has been handed over to Porompat police station for taking up necessary legal actions, the report added.
