Super Div Football: NCYWO win; LYLL, LASHAL draw

Imphal, March 04 2024: Nungsai Chiru Youth Welfare Organisation (NCYWO) registered a comprehensive victory over Regular Football Coaching Centre (RFCC) as Leimaram Yaipha Lamjing Lup (LYLL) and Leimapokpam Apunba Shanaroi Lup (LASHAL) settled for a draw in Monday's matches of the 2nd Thokchom Ibopishak (Ningthouren) Singh Memorial Super Division Football League at Mini Stadium, DSA Bishnupur.

NCYWO crushed RFCC 3-0 with goals from Jr Jonitson Chiru in the 18th minute, Th D Thangabar (35th) and captain Khorong Keneth Chiru (85th) .

On the other hand, the match between LYLL and LASHAL ended in a 3-3 stalemate.

LYLL established a two-goal advantage within the first quarter as captain Leichombam Maikel Singh opened the score in the second minute and Salam Dhiren Meitei (10th) struck the second and preserved the lead till normal period of the first half.

However, LASHAL pulled back one in the second minute of injury time through Maisnam Boy Singh giving his team a fighting chance.

In second half, L Maikel (57th) increased his personal a to retain the lead margin re the opponents' skipper Huidrom Jotin Singh narrowed the score deficit with a 72nd minute strike while M Boy (85th) ensured the match ended with honours shared.
